Telomere Test to Find Out Your Physiological/Biological Age
**----The age of your cells can be determined by measuring telomere length---**
We provide results where you can view mean telomere length, the changes in mean telomere length over time, and charts comparing current telomere length with the averages of individuals who make similar and different lifestyle decisions. This data allows practitioners to make better-informed decisions for their patients.
We can also provide a report to track your progress over the course of a year or several years.
How long does it take to receive results? Results take, on average, less than two weeks from the time the sample is shipped back to our facilities. Results are then accessed by logging back into our client panel and viewing charts regarding mean telomere length.
Non-invasive test from a buccal swab
$169 for 1 test to establish your physiological/biological age $499 for 4 tests (every 3 months to give you a 1 year record)
As a combination offer to assess your health, you can order both our Genetic Predisposition test consisting of 124 traits and our Telomere length test for only $349
What are telomeres and why measure telomeres?Telomeres are the protective end-caps of chromosomes which prevent deterioration of the cell and allow for proper replication. Telomeres become shorter with age and poor lifestyle choices, eventually failing to protect cells. When this happens, the cell no longer properly divides, leading to cell death. Telomere length is controlled by both erosion and addition, with erosion happening when a cell divides and addition being determined by the enzyme telomerase.
Telomerase consists of protein and RNA subunits which elongate telomeres by adding DNA base-pair sequences to the ends of chromosomes. Telomerase exhibition can be increased through a healthy diet, exercise, and even meditation.
ORDER THE 4 TESTS OVER A YEAR AND SAVE OVER $250 AND SEE HOW MUCH YOU CAN DECREASE YOUR AGE WITH DIET AND EXERCISE
***Because telomere length can be improved with increased telomerase exhibition (possible through diet, exercise, and meditation), it is an actionable biomarker. This means that a measure of how telomere length is affected by lifestyle can be realized when comparing telomere length and lifestyle (anonymously) with others. We give clinicians access to graphs and diagrams which show how their telomere and lifestyle stacks up with a sample of the general population. Short telomere length is also found to be an indicator of early-onset for age-related diseases, including diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and cancers.
What information is available in the results? You can view mean telomere length, the changes in mean telomere length over time, and charts comparing current telomere length with the averages of individuals who make similar and different lifestyle decisions. This data allows practitioners to make better-informed decisions for their patients.
We can also provide a report to track your progress over the course of a year or several years.

How do I provide samples for testing?Samples are provided using a buccal cheek swab. Please keep in mind our laboratory is clinically and forensically approved as an accredited testing facility. Telomere testing performed by our Ph.D. trained staff will ensure accurate and reliable results.
How often should I measure my telomeres?Testing every 6 months will allow you to have a clear indication of telomere length over time. We provide a package of 4 tests for only $499 allowing you to test at intervals, as it will allow you to better view the dynamics of telomere length over time in relation to lifestyle changes.
I am a medical professional and would like to provide this testing for my clients, do you provide this service for us?Medical practitioners offering health and wellness advice as well as supplementation recommendations can use our results to confirm the efficacy of their protocols as a whole. It also can be used to determine risk for age-related diseases. Right now over 3000 physicians and medical professionals are using our service.
What method for measuring telomere length do you use?Telomere length is determined using a qPCR real-time instrument to estimate absolute telomere length. Briefly, the method of O'Callaghan (Biotechniques 2008, Vol 44, No. 6, pp 807-809) uses an oligomer standard containing 14 TTAGGG telomeric repeats and a standard curve using a single copy gene standard (36B4) to estimate both the mean telomere length per reaction and the mean diploid genome copies for each sample.
The telomere length per diploid genome and the length per telomere are then calculated according to the O'Callaghan method. All samples are repeated three times to ensure accuracy.
How do you know that your results are accurate?Accu-metrics has performed a study with the University of Toronto, Duke University and UC Berkeley on 1239 volunteers, while assessing various lifestyle choices. These correlations have been widely confirmed in a variety of papers published in academic journals. By way of example, in our initial dataset we observed statistically significant p=0.001-0.01 correlations of telomere length with age, weight, smoking, and exercises. All our testing is performed in our accredited laboratory and data is confirmed by peer reviewed studies.
